Let's just say I had too much on my list and this major task was to go stand in line in front of the supermarket, maintaining social distance, waiting for my turn to get in and grab my necessities and get out. That took three times more time than usual. So, I am entitled to … Continue reading Day 34 of Lockdown
21 Days Introvert Lockdown
Well, though twenty-one days of locking down is not my idea, I wholeheartedly welcome it. It is the need of the hour for us to survive as a nation. But there will always be some morons who try and defy this but I am so glad to see our police thrashing such people and sending them back home.
Anyway, I am working from home, have stocked up my groceries for a month and decided to make most of this time to improve myself personally and professionally. Apart from completing my pending work that has followed me home from my office, I have a plan to survive and stay sane during these twenty-one days. Here it is:
Workout from home: Any kind of workout will do; aerobics, yoga, zumba, etc that you can do at home. For minimum half an hour. Maximum for how long ever you can sustain a work out. This is to keep yourself fit and healthy to see the end of the twenty-one days.
Read at least one book per week: You can read whatever genre you want, but minimum one book is necessary. If you can read one book per day, you can share reviews about it so that it helps others to decide what to read next. This way, you will have something to talk about after twenty-one days of doing nothing.
One movie per day: Minimum duration can be as you wish, but maximum duration of the movie should be 1 hour and 30 minutes. No relaxation on this condition.
Absolutely no sitcoms and TV/web series. Let’s not get addicted to them.
Let’s cook simple and nutritious food, all 3 meals. Dinner is optional as some of us follow no-dinner policy for various reasons. If you can share the recipes of the food you prepare, it might be helpful to others. MAGGI DOESN’T COUNT!
Hobby/Passion: Work on your hobby/passion. You never know what these twenty-one days might show you.
Drink one beverage: Tea, coffee, fruit juice, milk, or even plain water if you don’t like any of the former options. But no alcohol. Not that I am against it, but we are not gonna drink it every day for twenty-one days. No way! A strict no-no.
I will be sharing my daily updates here by 8 pm (Indian Standard Time) every day for twenty-one days with as many pictures as possible to make life colourful. At the moment, the plan it from 25.03.2020 to 14.04.2020. If the lockdown extends, then our plan extends too. I hope you too will share your day with me in the comments. See you at 8 pm!
Day 33 of Lockdown
It was a productive Sunday. I finished two long pending personal tasks. One is to plot for a novelette and another to write a short story. I did both workout sessions today. It was necessary after eating so much of garlic butter prawn curry yesterday. As I had mentioned in yesterday's blog, I had … Continue reading Day 33 of Lockdown
Day 32 of Lockdown
My whole day went in listening to a lecture. So, that's there. I didn't exercise today. The lecture started pretty early. I prepared Garlic Butter Prawns Curry today. It was yummy. I prepared it for both breakfast and lunch, but I after eating some for breakfast, I kept the remaining for tomorrow, because it was … Continue reading Day 32 of Lockdown
Day 31 of Lockdown
The day was okay. Like really okay. I didn't give a damn about anything. Two workout sessions. Today I prepared Seeme Badanekai (Chow Chow) Fry. It was lip-smacking delicious. Left me wondering why I had not prepared this all these years of my life! I mean, I had eaten it as sambar or palya, … Continue reading Day 31 of Lockdown
Day 30 of Lockdown
I did absolutely nothing today from the routine I had set for myself during lockdown. I ate sabudana chiwda and lazed around. I did try to watch Empire Records, but halfway it didn't buffer well. So, that's there. This day is the break from the break!
Day 29 of Lockdown
It was a day that I expected to go bad but turned out to be good! I think even my own bad vibes don't affect me. Well, something to hope for! Two workout sessions done. I prepared Ennegai to go with rotis, but I also prepared Sabudana Chiwda to munch on something in the … Continue reading Day 29 of Lockdown
Day 26, 27 and 28 of Lockdown
I went missing for two days. I wasn't keeping well. Thankfully, it wasn't anything related to COVID. Something that I ate didn't go well with me. Will tell you as and when I give my 3-day update, including today's. I did both workouts on Day 26, no workout on Day 27 due to stomach upset … Continue reading Day 26, 27 and 28 of Lockdown
Day 25 of Lockdown
I woke up today at 6am, after many months of trying. I used to be a morning person, but erratic work schedule meant erratic timings of everything. I am just happy today! I got a lot of things done today. Anyway, let's get to the point of this blog. I easily completed both workout sessions. … Continue reading Day 25 of Lockdown
Day 24 of Lockdown
I took a break today and did only the bare minimum routine work. I figured the app I am using to workout now doesn't believe in giving a day's break to the body. So, I took a break form both workout sessions. Baingan bharta with ghee-smeared rotis for both breakfast and lunch. I followed recipe … Continue reading Day 24 of Lockdown
Day 23 of Lockdown
I am doing good today, and that is enough for me for now. Two workout sessions. Check. Today, baby corn fry for breakfast and ragi ambli (malt) for lunch. Preparing muddhe led to a lot of wastage of ragi. So, ambli it is! Recipes are at the end of this post. I didn't … Continue reading Day 23 of Lockdown
